TECHNOLOGY DRIVEN QUALITY

Dr. Farid A. Malik holds bachelors, masters, doctorate degrees in Materials Engineering. He has worked for over a decade in the US electronic industry. Since 1992, he has been an engineering and management Consultant based in Lahore. His areas of interest include: Manufacturability, Productivity, Quality Management, Technology Management, Transfer of Technology, Eeengineering, Revival of Sick Industry, Management of Change, Project Management, Human Resource Development. He has over twenty publications and holds four US Patents. Dr. Malik is Director Quality Management at Emmay Associates (Pvt) Ltd., Lahore.

Technology turns the wheels of the nation. Underdeveloped countries suffer more from management than technology gap. Quality by design can be achieved by proper selection of technology and then control of the manufacturing processes. Process capabilities have to be improved/monitored in order to achieve competitiveness.
