
QUALITY CULTURE IN PAKISTANI ORGANIZATIONS – BASIC RESEARCH FINDINGS

AUTHOR’S INTRODUCTION
The author is the Chief Executive and senior consultant of Pakistan Institute of Quality Control. He did his BSc Engineering from Wright State University (USA), MSc in Total Quality Management from Sheffield Hallam University (UK), and Professional Certificate in Factory Management from AOTS Japan. He is a Certified Quality Management Consultant (CQMC) and Fellow of the Quality Society of Australasia, Member of American Society of Quality and the Institute of Engineers Pakistan. He is an Observer to US Technical Advisory Group TAG/TC176. He has fifteen years of experience in the field of quality practices in manufacturing, and teaching and consulting in Quality Management. He is an author of two books: Practical Guide to ISO 9000 and Quality Control; and a chapter on Research in TQM in Pakistan in ‘Quality Management in Asian and Pacific Countries’ published by APO Japan. He was selected by the Asian Productivity Organization as a national expert in TQM for a national research in Pakistan in 1995. He has provided technical assistance in Quality management to a large number of companies in Pakistan and abroad. He has represented Pakistan in various international Quality conventions and conferences. He has provided assistance to many national and professional quality committees for the development of Quality in Pakistan.
